Trip names, destinations, travel dates, group size, transport details, packing progress and profile name are stored locally on your device. We do not operate an account system or upload these trip plans to our servers.

Privacy Policy
Rihla | trip is an offline-first travel preparation app. This policy explains what stays on your device, what advertising partners may process, and the choices available to you.

Worldwide destination search
When you use worldwide search, the place or country name you type is sent to the Open-Meteo Geocoding API to return matching locations. Rihla does not send your profile name, trip name, travel dates, packing list or precise device location with this request. Open-Meteo processes the request under its own privacy terms.
Advertising and consent
The app uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google User Messaging Platform. Depending on your region and consent choices, Google and its partners may process device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, ad interactions, diagnostics and consent signals to deliver, measure or personalize advertising.
Your privacy choices
Where required, a consent message appears before ads are requested. You can review your advertising privacy choices from the Profile screen. You may also reset the advertising identifier in Android settings or limit ad personalization through your Google settings.
Local storage and retention
Saved trips, checklists, language and profile preferences remain on your device until you edit them, clear app data or uninstall the app. We cannot retrieve or restore local trip data.
Permissions
Rihla | trip uses internet and network-state access for worldwide destination search, advertising and consent messages. Notification permission is used only for trip preparation and completion reminders you schedule. The app does not request precise location, contacts, camera or microphone access.
Food, weather and transport estimates
Nutrition, climate, fuel and equipment results are planning estimates, not medical, meteorological or mechanical advice. Verify live weather, road conditions, fuel prices, vehicle specifications and health guidance before travel.
Children
The app is intended for a general audience and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising treatment follows the configuration and consent signals applied to the app.
Service providers
Advertising and consent services are provided by Google. Their processing is governed by Google’s policies and the choices shown in the consent form.
Security and changes
Local-first storage reduces server exposure, but no device is completely secure. We may update this policy when features, legal requirements or service providers change; the effective date above will be revised.
